FINAL ASSESSMENTS WILL INCLUDE:

Written 25 Question Examination with a required score of 84%

**If you fail any of the components of the assessments, you are required to be remediated and are allowed to try the assessment(s) again.

After successful course completion, students will receive a 2 year certification.

** This course is recommended for doctors, nurses, nursing students, emt's paramedics and healthcare workers.

Course format: This course can be taken as an hybrid course or exclusive in class.

 

This is a hybrid course. Students must purchase a BLS for Healthcare Providers online code at: www.onlineaha.org  After completing the online course, please bring your certificate to class with you. 

This course covers Adult, Child and Infant CPR for the Healthcare Provider.

Topics include:

- CPR for Adults, Children & Infants

- AED Operation

- How to respond to choking emergencies.

- Use of barrier devices such as pocket masks and bag-mask devices.

- Advanced airway management while performing CPR.

Course completion includes passing the online portion of this course, taking a written exam and skills examination, and performing a skills evaluation with a certified instructor. After successful course completion, students will receive a 2 year certification

 

Target Audience:

This course is recommended for doctors, nurses, nursing students, and healthcare workers.

Course format: This is a blended course (online and inclass). 

**Online/Blended courses receive the same certification card as exclusive in class

** This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.This course is also for anyone who wants to learn how to help someone in an emergency and save a life. 

Course format: In-class

 

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  

Effective October 6, 2017, the textbook is included in the cost of the course. 

Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.  This course also teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use.

'*Target Audience: this course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a two year course certification card. An optional written test available.
